Our Story
The Bridget Evalyne Foundation (BEF) was born from a legacy of love, resilience, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children. Founded in memory of Bridget Evalyne Namayanja, who passed away at just seven years old, our mission is to ensure that every child has access to nutrition, healthcare, education, and a safe environment to thrive.
We believe in a world where children are empowered to shape their own futures. Through community-driven programs, BEF works alongside families and local leaders to create sustainable solutions that improve child welfare. Our work spans Uganda and is expanding into Malawi, focusing on holistic education, agroecology, and healthcare access.

Every Child Deserves a Healthy Start
Malnutrition remains one of the biggest challenges for children in vulnerable communities, affecting their growth, learning, and overall well-being. At the Bridget Evalyne Foundation (BEF), we believe that proper nutrition is the foundation for a child’s future, enabling them to thrive in school and life.
Our Approach to Child Nutrition
Our community-driven nutrition program empowers families with sustainable solutions to fight hunger and malnutrition. Our entry point is the school(s) where our beneficiaries are registered. We build awareness on agroecological practices in agriculture , healthy soils, and initiatives of sourcing food locally, we do agricultural support among parents and school neighbours to ensure that through healthy food, children receive the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and succeed.

Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a better future. But for many vulnerable children in Uganda, access to quality education is out of reach. Poverty forces families to choose between basic survival and school fees, leaving countless children without the opportunity to learn.
